    Starview 4 flash : "It is not a file of this IRD"?

    Greetings. This is my first post. Sorry if I am a bit of a n00b

    I have recently purchased a StarView 4. It came with a little instruction page telling me how to install the latest firmware. I followed the instructions carefully. When it gets up to the point of loading the latest firmware, and I press OK, it comes up on the screen "Warning!!! It is not a file of this IRD", and will not flash the box.

    I have tried several different firmwares, notably the V1.07 and V1.12, but to no avail. They still show this message. I can confirm the USB drive is FAT32, and that I have both the Logo and Flash files.

    I dont know why it is doing this.

    Looking in the system information box, it tells me:
    Model ID = C500
    S/W Version = 1.03
    Boot Version = b-11
    Date = Oct 17 2008.

    I have not tried an automatic store yet, it is still on the installation screen where I have to choose the language and I'm given some options.

    The only possibility why I think it might not be working, is because I am using an external hard drive rather than a flash drive, but, I dont have a flash drive spare.

    Can anyone guide me in the right direction? I have searched the forums btw, found nothing. The search page is really picky about what you type in o.O

    Thankyou in advance!

        No, i didn't format it using the SV. That's probably my problem then?
        And yes, I did unzip. They are two BIN files.

          UPDATE : Found my 16GB flash drive. I will format it, since there isn't anything on it anyway. All being well that should work
