Starview 4 - network providers?

Hi chaps, its my first time on here so I apologise in advance if I ask obvious questions. I have just managed to set up the Starview 4 box for the first time (after reading lots of tips and advice on this forum). I used a V/M cable and all is working fine. I would just like to know if the Starview 4 boxwould also work with a Sky cable ??? (as I have the basic sky package in another room int he house). Also, is there any way that these companies (V/M, sky etc) can tracethat their channels are being viewed without being paid for??

Hi and welcome to DK.
The box you mention is a cable box, fitted with a cable tuner so it will pick up VM cable tv but it will not work with s*y or any other satellite setup.
VM cannot detect that you are using this box on their network so you are safe in using it.

Cheers for the advice badapple. So if I wanted to have access to all channels in a second room in the house, would I have to get another Starview box and another V/M box?

You will just need to get another Starview box(or similar box)
No need for another V/M box.
Just get yourself a decent splitter and split the cable to the second starview box and of you go.

But be aware before spending any extra money, V/M have started to roll out new encryption system in the uk, Leeds and near areas have been just hit.
