Starview 5 Error 8882 after installation

Hi, my mate has recently bought a Starview 5 box but after various attempts (and files) at installing the firmware he thought he'd sussed it when it downloaded 100%. However it froze and then went blank with lcd display 8882 and continues to do so on power up, so no menu, nothing. Is it fried or recoverable? Any help gratefully received.

ther eis no rtecovery at the mom mate but iff he gets in contact with the supoplyer they will change it for him

Thanks for that. He ain't happy, just hope the supplier is co-operative in that respect.
