Starview 5 firmware

hi, i'm new to all of this stuff, but my bro in law told me to get a starview 5 & now told me i need to download firmware for it. i've downloaded a BIN file? but it won't load onto the box. It says "Downloading 0%" any help would be very much appreciated thanks>

what firmware are you useing? are you copying it to a usb stick.

The version i downloaded is v2.03.20090923.BIN idownloaded it to a flash memory stick.

Have loaded starview v12 since august>is there another version i can up date??

Follow DESERTDOG tutorial in the Starview5 downloads section STEP BY STEP and you will soon have your box up and running successfully. Good luck but you should not need it.

try rescaning it
menu factory settings (0000)
auto scan
exit out to main menu then (1570) and turn key code on
exit out to tv..

You start by reading the tut in here:Digital Kaos - Downloads - Starview
Then download the firmware and follow the tut all will be just like majic

have you put firmware on box?
if so have you done menu,1570 etc............. if not then do so....
