    Starview 5 PVR

    Hi,

Apologies if this has been posted and answered already but if it has then I can't find it.

OK, I'm either thick or my box has a problem. Everything except PVR is perfect but when I try to record the channel I'm watching I get a popup message 'Recording init' and the screen freezes. The recording is fine and can be watched later but I can't get the tv channel to play at the same time a recording is being made.

What am I missing, doing wrong?

      Hi,

Yes, I downloaded and printed out the tut and got the box working within 5 minutes and everything is working prefectly except the PVR. It records OK but the screen freezes with a message 'INIT Recording'

ok m8 what size is the HD and did you format it too fat32 in pc or sv5?

Plug the USB device in while sv5 is switched off.
Wait about 20 seconds for the sv5 to reconise the USB Device.
              press menu
              select USB
move to right hand screen select USB again
              press ok
now you should see your USB device.
              press exit 3 times
press record on remote red button and wait
sometimes it does take 10 - 20 seconds
              hope this helps
