Starview help please please!!

please can someone help.i have a starview 5 and have downloaded the tutorial.i have a usb external hardrice and formatted to fat 32,wen i add the firmware i got from this site it doesnt show up on the box under usb??should it be ther??please someone give me some help

i am on the box and ther are 2 files under the usb,CH Data Backup and code backup. i have hit 1570 on the menu but it will not bring me on to another menu or negravision as sum1 mentioned????? i am completely puzzles guys and help wqould be very helpful

you wont get into nagra menu unless software is loaded, have you done this, easy to do as in tuts, then you can access the menu.

i am looking to see if i can help my m8 sort out his "the box" super usb. how can i tell which version the box is, ie 4 or 5? and where to download the relevant files to reload it and get his channels back?

but try this, press menu, then 1570 on remote, turn keycode on, also press set default key above this. exit to a channel like sky sports and it should update.

on the front of the unit it only says the box super usb. there is no brand name. is this a starview or a clone? i dont want to download the starview file and cause more probs as in the download part it says not to put it on clones

also i was reading online and it said that sky has encrypted certain channels and that it is n2. has anyone using one of these boxes cracked it so the movies etc works again?

did you try this, if it was working in last say couple of months, then above should work unless your in leeds.

i am in dublin and it was fine up until end of summer i think it was. he lost sky movies and sports. i thought i might find an update to get them back. i am not at his house right now, but will try the advice you have already given me, thanks

it is a starview 4,look for a heatsink in under vents stuck on chip

also check menu-system info-and tell us what version is on box as this will also tell us if it is new and has fta firmware.
ah dublin and irl with blank screens with nagra 3.
