Starview 5 the box usb 2 Help!!!

Hey guys I am new to these boxes I have a dbox2 personally but my mate has gave me his starview to try and fix. Hes was messing with all the settings apparantly and ended up losing everything.

Anyway I have downloaded the latest firmware got that running I can pick up a load of channels ppv ones too. My questions are as follows there seems to be bunchs of 1 channel for instance 5 bbc 1, 5 bbc 2, 5 ITVs and so on and so fourth. Probalem being only one of the 5 will work is there a way to remove all the duplicates and have only the working channels.

Also I noticed a lot of doller signs next to some channels what does this mean and if its bad how do I sort it ???

s there anything else that I should know about ? and do you always have to put the secret code in to get the channels to work could someone explain this to me ??

one more thing is can you record from these things to the USB in the back ???

Why use msn this forum and the questions and replies help other members msn between 2 members only helps one please use the forum and post so its not one you help but maybe several members its called sharing m8, Maggot read the tut in downloads its all you need if you follow it.

As it happens he didnt help me anyway I have read the tut in the download sections thats how I got the box working my friend. it's the other issues that I akeded about that I need help with and there not covered in the tut I have Any help is thankfully recieved.

try using menu, then channel edit, on my sv3 i get 3 or 4 bbc1/itv1 ,just regional variations. the green $ just lets you know its not a freeview type channel.cheers.

hhhmmm well after playing with the bloody thing for hours I cant seem to sort the channels at all very dissapointed kinda pleased I dont have one of these. as for the doller sign that was a great help thanks kinda obvious when you think about it.

I guess I'm still onto the old school dbox2 thanks guys you were all great.

i have the same problem i can only view freeview channels for some reason any ideas why this is happing ? i could view all channels but now their aint workin at all
