new fix for nagra3 areas

if you need to change your aeriel due to digital, cost about ?100, so if you still get fta then its worth keeping.

dont think these boxes work on aerial wrong type as aerials are used with a t type tuner same as in new tvs.

From what I have read elsewhere when nagra 3 hits you will still get the 'basic' freeview channels ie BBC1, BBC2, ITV Channel 4, Channel 5 and a couple of other crappy ones like CBBC and CBEEBIES you wont get as much as you do with a freeview box but as stated b4 if you dont have a digital arial you will be able to use ur hacked box for the basic's.
Also if your box is a Linux based box with an ethernet port it might be a good idea to fire it up in the loft instead of the green bin as in years to come 'IF' and I mean IF nagra 3 ever gets hacked this type of box will have slightly more chance than most of being 'adapted'

i know they dont, but you will still get basic through cable, that is what i was saying.

one way to check what is fta is to switch emu off and then check,however in irl,at the moment a few channels still left like rte1 network2 tv3,tg4,however if emu is off network 2 cannot be viewed and you would think it was fta but not on cable,so things are still a bit hazy.
rumors are that maybe the rest may go to n3 so then all you can do is wait and see.
