was talking to a guy yesterday who sells starviews amongst other stuff, his view on it was, that they are testing nagra 3 in leeds at the mo but they have only lost terrestial channels. also starview 6 will be released soon and is run over ethernet so will not be affected by nagra 3. there is a light.

They lost a lot more than that. The Starview 6 is already out its called a Starview Combo, maybe you are talking about the Starview 7

Yet another new Starview box bragging a new feature that Dboxes have had since day 1?

Anyway, having ethernet does not mean "will not be affected by nagra 3".

        "Only lost terestial channels" ????

no this is 100% true. 2 to 3 weeks for this to happen. starview will start it. any starview with ethernet will work, combo is not a starview 6, but there will be one.

It was a joke Mark. From a chronological point of view in regards to release to market the combo is the sixth release.

ah, if were working that way, combo is a 7 if you count starview pvr.

By the end of the year with Starview we should reach 20, I stopped counting a while back

The PVR while cheap for a dual tuner box was never sorted fully.I could count the boxes that they are originally ripped from and then we would get a decent number.

Support sells and I am sure that the route they are taking with the new ethernet model will need plenty of it. I know of other new boxes coming to the cable market that will allow a more open sourced approach to the encryption changes.

fully agree with all, we will wait and see, in a couple of months we will have plenty of choice.

It is not sorted as such just worked around as per the Sat scene. There is no N3 hack, just CS/IKS.
