Help setting up my Starview5 Box PLEASE

Need help with a Starview5 Box please. I have the firmware and i have installed it and got to the stage where you key in 1570 , but this is about as far as i can get at the moment.
Any help and i would be very gratefull.

menu>1570>turn keycode on>set default>exit to a $ channel and leave to update

I have done exactly as you have said , and i get to change the keycode to on and try to scan but i get nothing at all.

Also as i just noticed in the SV5 Tut
Leave on a $ channel and wait , How do i select a $ channel when i have nothing to select at the moment ???

How can i select a $ channel when there are NO channels ???

Yes Its 2.03 , bought a pre loaded stick from ebay.

if you are getting no channels then it could be that you are scanning on the wrong provider or have no/weak signal

I am scanning on Ntl ( Before Virgin ) And when the virgin box is in place we get all channels Virgin lets us get.
When i connect the SuperBoxII i get NO channels what so ever , and when i scan i get Nothing at all.
Using a pre loaded USB stick ( dont think theres a prob there as its loaded into the box )
Get into the Secret Menu and changed the Keyword to ON and then it says Scan m and i get nothing.
Also i have been told to select a $ channel and let it update , I cannot get any channel to get by this stage.

Any help please Many Many Thanks in advance To All

if you have good signal and scanning on correct provider (I take it you have the cable in the correct socket) then problem could be a faulty tuner

you could always start from scratch and reflash it again. or try scanning on a diffrent provider ie. telewest.

exactly, lads. i live in ex nthell area, get nowt..have to use t/pest or xc/w.
