F to coax adaptor query

Hiya

I am setting up a starview 3 box for a relative and bought all the relevant bits for it however when put attached the aadptor to the cable and went to slot it in the back of the starview box it didnt seem to fix very well and was rather loose. I then scanned and could not find any channels. I replaced it with my adaptor to check and the fit was much tighter. I was just wondering if the adaptors are available in differnt sizes? or whether this one I have got is just a dud

Take a look at the input on the back of you box and make sure that the two inner lugs have not someway been bent out, this usually happens if someone accidentally catches the box or cable, hence you could have a loose connection, simply get a screwdriver and "tickle" them in a little....As DESSERTDOG and fearona say correctly only one size...power your box down first to be on the safe side..
