need help with my fta101

my box fta101 was working fine untill last monday then started saying the
channels are scrambled, even the likes of bbc and itv.
as usual i rescanned and the channels are totally in different frequency, the problem is the channels except the basic five are all scrambled and every trying change through the channels the box freezes i have to cut the power in order to make it work.

i did every trick i know (resting to factory setting before scanning, the cable is straight connected no splitters, emu is on).

any idea guys whats wrong.

Iam in the southyorkshire reigion.

Rotherham, it's the fta101-Starview, and did the factory setting which requires a password 0000 to set it to default.

Did you ever get this sorted on your FTA101?

I have exactly the same problem on my FTA101 since Tuesday when vermin did an update in Hertfordshire.

my fta box is same in notts.dont no wether to throw it away or not had it 6 year

I have now had it confirmed on another forum that the FTA101 cannot cope with the new encryption.

If you switch off Keycode it does not freeze, however, it will then only let you watch free channels. It does not look like we will be be getting any more software updates now. Shame I have had mine for 6 years or so as well.
