its seems like being on satkings here, knock every box apart from their own. in the end starview and eurovox are simple to setup, which is what people want, probably 60 to 70% of people would stuggle with a linux box, they just want something to more or less plug and play.

basically all boxes do the same and have their own place in the market.
Come of the shrooms and back to reality.

the risks are very high mate

Starpoo servers will be shut down quicker then a blink of an eye. And the people with it will be locked up behind bars as well.... becuase All IP addresses will be Logged.

C/S has been going for a number of years using a Linux box and the only reason alot of folks dont know about it is because it been kept quiet.

Starview only just started with the CS side because Cable decided to switch to N3

Satman was spot on on what he said.

Linux boxes had a fix for it long time back incase you didnt know... Only difference was that you needed a sat dish.

NDS hasnt been cracked and the only way to do it was via CS.

Dont forget this has been going for long long time and its just that people never knew about it.

Am not gonna go into detail with this as we not allowed talk about CS here.

but am sure the word C/S speaks volumes.

Satkings knocks these boxes because there is a very good reason for it... and believe me satman and the team dont lie. I used to own a starview box and got rid of it in a flash and trust me I have been with satkings for 2 yrs now and have learned a hell of a alot.

when they say LINUX is the way forward... well you better believe it... because Linux is definetly the way forward. I own 2 linux boxes... one being a TGM 220 and the other is a Openmedia 500CS

Openmedia 500 CS is a pain in the ass of a box but does the job no doubt... However the ITgate... it works like a Charm.

                I love that box.

didnt come out quite like i meant, just saying starview were first mainstream, easy to up boxes, but thinking about it, the importers are being very brave, or bloody stupid. the powers that be know exactly who imports these boxes, they had a writ against them a while back. think i will give these a big miss.

i wouldnt bother with a new box because of nagravision 3 being rolled out ( a box killer ) vms new encription, but the sv 6 has lan connection which could be used for c/s ( google for more info ) check out the forum traders for a new box

best future proof box is the starview combo

that was not true on last issue in oct/nov 2008, dbox etc was last to get update which is fact, my mate who sold dbox from day one was sellng sv and euro to keep punters happy.

we all know though linux is better, but if you actually sell these boxes in bulk like me, its not better. my five year old can set one of the sv up from start to finish, but linux is a bit more complicated. sv and eurovox take less support on setting up for a seller, so less phone calls.

linux are better for single users, but not for people like me who sell boxes, i like a bit of a life.

well it's not my fault you sell boxes maybe if you spent a bit off time working out how the nagra system works instead off selling boxes you might have had the fix for dbox before them
