went into menu and seen network scan -- 'disable' , changed it to 'enable' and re-scanned but still nothing. also went onto factory default and again nothing.

go to menu factory settings (0000)
then auto scan
when done go to menu press (1570) on remote/c
turn key code on
exit out to tv and let the box update.

would assume you have not got latest f/ware on your box, whichever box it is. let us know, please...

You must be going into manual scan for you to have the enable/disable option, you should be doing an autoscan on your service provider, from the language screen > ok on english > installation > auto scan on whoever supplies your service (TW / NTL etc) press ok > once completed the box will re-boot > press menu > 1570 > turn keycode on > press ok on set default > exit & select SSP 1 leave it to update (only takes a couple of minutes) all should be ok, this is assuming you have installed the correct firmware.

o.k. upto auto scan where it is'nt finding any channels at all, then automatically goes onto manual scan where the disable/enable option is. i also can't exit past language

what f/ware is on box? press menu, system info...
