Starview 5 doesn't find any channels

Hi,

Sorry to act the newb and the last thing i wanted to do was start a thread but i have bought a starview 5 and followed the tut, but when i scan for channels i don't find any when choosing any of the providers. I am with virgin but get nowt.

Any help guys?

No sorry, i had a box about a year ago which worked fine with the coax that im using.

This is a new box which hasnt been used before and the FTA or anything isn't working. I can't see why ...

have you got latest f/ware on new box? have you still got old box to try. do you still have a live feed???

Yep and the cable hasn't been touched/moved since the old box.

The box downstairs is working fine and i just can't see why.

tell us what firmware is loaded onto box,menu-system info-v???.

firmware is TheboxSuperUSB2_v2.03.20090923.BIN and i can do everything in the tut i just find no channels at all!

I think your problem is not the box or firmware if as you say you have tried all providers the only other thing is cable not connected properly or you cable has been disconnected or there is a fault on the line m8

Yep that's my conclusion too DessertDog - but i don't understand why Freeview cannot be found when put in the attena in port ... this is the craziest part.

Don't know if you've tried but I think if your box downstairs is working try swapping them over,
