Starview USB 2 - Not recognizing USB drive

Help - Got hold of the Starview USB II box and trying to upload the firmware but have not been able to read the USB dongle. I cannot get any further after the USB selection. Does not show up the drive name also.

Thank in advance for any pointers.

make sure the pen drive file system is fat 32 and also make sure its empty

switch off the starview box.. plug the pen drive in there and switch it on

then check if the pen drive is recognised.
