    Starview 3 the box super advice wanted.

    Hello

    I am thinking of selling my starview 3 box ,it has the 8.0e_E firmware installed.I was wondering if it would be worth installing the latest firmware?,has there been any issues with it?.My box is running fine on the 8.0e_E firmware.Also if i was to sell the box to someone with a different cable provider (old telewest here) would it just be a case of of plug in and use of would it need a rescan?

      If 8.0e auto updates then no need to install any other firmware, you will find that even if the new owner is on the same service provider they will more than likely need to re-scan (unless it's your neighbor but not advisable with N3 so close)

          if its working fine, dont worry. yes, if you sold to someone on ntl they would need to scan, or even if they were on telewst in different part of country they would need to scan.
