Starview 5 EPG help

Hi All,

I require some assistance regarding the EPG for my starview5. A few days ago all the channels went blank and I did factory reset and a rescan, which brought the channels back.

The only thing is that the EPG now only shows an hours worth of programmes that will follow. As I used to use this feature of the box to record programmes the would be on later that day or on in a few days time.

I have tried 1.12 and 2.03 but have the same issue both updates.

Has anyone else had this problem?

And is there a solution to fix this?

more than likely a vermin issue with work going on, i always buy the sun on saturday to see whats on, old school. have you tried reloading epg, press epg button, think you need to press blue button while in epg button, it will tell you at bottom of screen.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried the reloading EPG. I've even pressed the SIG button which takes it forward 12 hours, but still no luck.

Its just to record stuff if I'm not around.

Hi ya I got a Starview PVR and had this problem, but discovered a channel called EPG_????? if you put this as your first channel and select it when on epg you got about 5 days.

My box has just gone down and I have reset and re-scanned but the EPG_????? channels are no where to be found. So now I onlt get a couple of hours too. Boo

Sv5 Epg leaves a lot to be desired but you should get more than a week m8 have you tried reinstalling the firmware etc.?

If you have not already done so do a complete factory reset and start a scan then follow the tut.
If it helps i never use mine but just checked mine and it is the same

i have never relied on epg, just buy tv guide.
