hi all got a sv5usb2 teeside area and noticed i was losing channels. got up today and all channels gone.

after several attempts i couldnt get them back so decided to do a factory reset. i then went to menu and did the 1570 hidden menu (some peeps have trouble getting into the 1570 menu so make sure when u first press menu and it says installation that you press right first so u highlight automatic then press 1570)when in hidden menu set keycode to off then exit three times. once i had done this i did a rescan and got standard channels back. then i went to menu and re-installed firm ware then did menu and 1570 then set keycode to on and set default code then exited 3 times then went back to menu and done rescan making sure i entered my area provider. (make sure u know wot area provider u are) once done i went to premium channel to update data. (espn works quickest i think as ive been sat for 40 minutes before trying to update on skysport1 and the like) anyway this seemed to have sorted my troubles as im now back with all channels

Hi have had the same problems myself today but some clever sod has thrown the box away? Where would I be able to find out the default code for my starview 5

0000 for all but the secret menu which as stated above is 1570

just go into 1570 menu and turn keycode to ON then set default code and all should be well after a rescan. hope u get it sorted mate.
