!Starview Complete Novice!

Igot pissed-off putting up with 'card-sharing' on sat-boxes regardin my own system

and wanted to help my bro out with his 'cable setup' So... ive decided to purchase a Starview box as a present to him but
i dont have a clue how to use one

to get all cable channels in your area do you just
install image?? or install keys??
or both

i really need to just know some backround information on this b4 i get started and can place my order for one of these machines
can anybody just share some quick pointers on this with me,
i would greatly appreciate this - i can understand why cable is always prefered due to satelite server noobs!

Cable as we know it coming to an end with nagra 3 being rolled out across the UK,so its not worth getting any box for cable.

is this the new encryption method for cable??....i thought it was called something else

can Nagra 3 be cracked
(might sound stupid question especialy if the encryption is not even out yet)
