hi all, am looking for a bit of advice, i currently have a starview 4 which is still working fine at the moment, but with everything that is happening, is it worth me getting a starview 6?? will the LAN be any use for sports channels etc??

    any advice would be great

If youre in the UK then this box will not work. Its only for Ireland atm.
Stick with the SV 4 for now m8, dont waste your money.

The sellers of SV 6 dont seem to be making it clear that these boxes are no good for UK.

Depends on what area you are in. Have you tried a factory reset, rescan and turn your emu back on?

Sorry just seen that you said you had a Starview 4 you will also need to update the firmware to V1.12 if you have not done so already.

It is not recommended for clone boxes but you do not have much to lose, (if you have a clone), given the imminent changeover.

No just realigning transponders for now, but you will know when you get a new card.

Yes as the cable headend will, (probably already done in your area), be changed over to N3. After N1 and N3 are simulcrypt during the card change eventually the N1 stream will be turned off.

                    Time to subscribe then.

Probably but I cannot comment on pay servers.

you think the servers will be unreliable? so the service could just cut out because the server gets shut down?

As said I cannot comment on any pay service by choice. Especially one that isn't up and running as such.

CS in general especially on cable is better off on smaller rings with people you know.

That is as far as I will go sorry.

Regards V1.12 it is a couple of months old but is the last release. You can find your current firmware release revision info in system info on the SV4.
