starview 6 usb on the back

hi all i have been informed that my box is the ireland type because of the usb on the back and not under the front flap for the uk market does that mean i cant use it here in the uk i have got all the channels fta but the others are scambled when i tried to load the groovrider nothing happen at all no other menu came up nothing i got the latest f/w off satsmo thanks m8 wots happening its doing my head in its like the box isnt reading the file when i click on it please any help thanks in advance

Yeah the starview 6 is only for Ireland, you wont get any extra channels in the uk bar the fta channels

Follow as below procedure

a)Option -> Network -> Net Application -> then select “Istream” sever ( Ireland sever )

b-1) OSD Setting

Auto Search -> Short CH Name : off ( Ireland ) - on ( UK )

b-a) OSD Setting

Option -> OSD Setup -> Region - > Select 1 in uk ) - select 2 in Ireland

b-c) OSD Setting

If they have 16:9 TV please follow up “ Option -> OSD Setup -> Screen Format

LEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY IF YOU DONT WANT DEAD BOXES WHEN LOADING THE FIRMWARE!


Load grooverider file on to your usb memory stick,make sure power is off on machine and insert the memory stick into the front usb socket
underneath the front flap.
 

From the main menu go to Utility and then press the right arrow button and select usb
from the right hand side, you will see the grooverider file press ok on it and make sure to select SW+ALL DATA UPDATE..

the machine will update and restart (don't pull your memory stick out until the machine has fully started up)
you now need to scan your channels, NO SPLITTERS ON YOUR INCOMING CABLE WHEN DOING YOUR SCAN
so go to installation press the right arrow button again and go down to AUTO CABLE SEARCH
all you need to change here is the symbol rate.  
The symbol rate determines your area for example N*l is 6887, the other numbers are 6952 for Telepe** and EXc&w.  
When you have selected your area go to start scan.

once the scan has finished go to menu then highlight accessory and on the remote press the numbers "8989"
you will then see "K*yedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that auto update is on if its off just turn it on.

Then go to to your channels by exiting the menu and pressing ok..
Select a non FTA channel and leave it until a picture appears
PLEASE NOTE IT CAN TAKE UPTO 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE SO BE PATIENT

Channel list..

all your channels are categorised by
pressing ok on your remote brings up the channel list but it will be in simple layout,
pressing the red button takes you to detail,
now if your list don't appear to be categorised you will need to press the SAT button on the remote and you need to select cable
at the bottom of the list this will then give you the categories,
to change each section you simply use your left or right arrow buttons

hi, it will work as normal starview does, try info in above post, flash with firmware, scan etc.

the ?159 includes server for year in ireland, just been in touch with a guy who works at importers on another matter, says no plans for servers here as yet.

if you have not flashed, i would say send back for refund and look at sat set up, nag3 will end normal cable, and to be honest im a bit wary of starview 6 server, could go down quick.

no, because its different cards, unless he trys a irish provider maybe.

point is, they are not for uk at this time, just they are mainly sold from uk, people need to research before buying.

M8 read the above posts. If you are in UK this box will not work,
The SV 6 is for Ireland.

the box outlet does that mean the hd wont work in the uk as well m8
