starview clone not workin

hi my mate gave me a starview1 clone its got no power nothin comes up its dead he got it flashed then he sed it worked then went off some1 flased it dnt no if he used genuine program or clone 1 been lookin at forums its says open box look at caps c21 c11 they seem ok no leakage or nothin so is completly dead or can i fix it . but its got a shaver plug with 3 pin adapter with 1amp fuse shud i just change fuse or just bin it let us no cheers ppl

same answer again try putting a three pin plug and see if it powers up,and yes if u put wrong firmware on it u can have a brick.

1 amp fuse too small can easily blow,thats why i said fit a standard plug to try and if no good,possibly j tag repair.

ive put 3 pin uk plug still doesnt cum on but wen u switch it on u can hear like a power surge by the caps 21 an 11 so cud it b them then

It needs to be Jtagged as it looks as if genuine firmware has been flashed to your clone. The ticking noise is a giveaway.

yeah ive got on to it cud hear the click wen turned on needs jtaggin
can u reckonmend any1. thers a fella on fleebay who does it for a 10er then 6 pound postage let me no cheers

You can make your own kit for a few quid or buy one from TMC for ?10 plus P&P. So the fleabay guy looks cheap enough.
