starview 5 usb 2

hi-i downloaded and used the codes, and all channels were working .......for 20 mins.
i then had to re scan and go through the procedure again.....and again....and again.
how can i do it without losing channels?????????/
i got the starview 5 for my dads birthday, so i would like it to work for him.
any ideas??????????anyone

if you have reflashed box no need to manually enter data,factory reset 0000 to delete,auto scan from direct feed from wall to box,no splitters,then enable keycode and also set default key and exit out to a sly channel ,box should update in 2 mins.

i didnt quite understand, sorry!!what is a reflashed box!!!???
i uploaded the files, pressed 1570, picked NTL, auto scan and all was fine.(there are no splitters)
do you mean press 0000 instead of 1570?? as well as resetting??
i am confused and new to this...
could you PLEASE give me a step by step????
also-do you think i have the most up to date firmware??

v2.03 is the one to use make sure that is what on box in system info if not read this.

this is the file to use

warning do not insert or remove usb flash drive while box is powered on.

if v2.03 is on box then start from scratch,
press menu select factory reset/default ok
password is 0000 to delete all channels,
box will reboot
installation select your provider
make sure your boxes coaxial cable is straight into wall socket,
auto scan your provider,
found 344 channels depends on area how many,
exit out then press menu1570
look for keycode enable and make sure it is enabled,
exit out to a sly channel for updating.


a reflashed box means your are updating the firmware to a better one hopefully

i think a nagra 3 has hit my box, but im unsure, i reset the box 0000, Then USB the last satmo's firmaware then run it, i turn the sv 5 off unplug the usb, i turn it back on do a scan tellewest west midlands, brings up the ch but all channels are blank, cant get into the 1570 option now, any idea's kind people, i have a starview 5 usb telewest dudley area

check what firmware you put on box,follow post 4,if you are on n3 box will not update.

i downloaded v 2.03, but it came up as v2.05, so i presume its the correct one, but my picture keeps freezing(actually my dads picture!!!)
either way, its a royal pain and would appreciate assistance in sorting!!!!
i cannot find a link to download 2.03.

(picture freezes literally every 4 minutes or so)
