Straview 5 firmware issus

Hello

I've been trying to load the 2.3 firmware on to my starview 5 box without success,I have loaded the firmware onto the USB stick but when it comes to transferring it on to my box it keeps on saying "This is not a file of this IRD"?.I have followed the instructions but could not find the answer to the problem .
Any help would be appreciated,Thank you.

is the usb formatted on pc,and is the v2.03 compressed with zip or rar.

I put the v2.03 downloads as a .bin and is uncompressed.The usb stick has been formatted as fat 32 on the pc then just the v2.03 file copied onto it.

some people tried another stick and it worked.

I have just checked the box and it says "the box super usb" which I'm guessing is a starview 4 and not 5 as i thought.
Could you advise me and point me in the right direction of the best firmware please?

you would be surprised how many people dont read the name on front of box,well at least you should be sorted now.

for some reason i lost all of the starview channels abt three weeks ago, tried firmaware left right n centre, just been scanning the box from almost all of the providers and it takes time to come onto the channel but it does work, and we are now running nagra 3 so people give it ago

starview 5 11 usb help please

my starview 5 11 usb was working fine for a few hours after set up.i get all channels, but they all keep "freezing"
pressing "menu"twice resolves, but is a pain when you have to do it 20 times during a film/footie.
any ideas on this issue, anyone?????????

I take it you have firmware v2.05!! revert to v2.03 available in the download section.
