starview stuck on the menu

hi all, new 2 this not v techy. got a sv2 stuuck on the menu wont exit from language page tried exit, back ,switchin off and had it reflashed.parental lock and channel edit not highlighted. any ideas any1

yes tried that - takes me 2 installation.think ill try re entering all the codes

when you go to installation you then have to do a automatic scan on your provider

re entered codes, auto scaned on my provider , no channels found and still cannot exit the menu. any other ideas ? some 1 told me 2 seal it in a bag and put it in freezer ! sounds like a good last resort

according to his first post he has a SV2 not a SV4

your box has been set back to factory settings the only option available is to do a full scan
you could try from scratch and reflash the box with the latest firmware V4.57 but at the end of the day you will have to scan or put on a channel file for your area.

was your box working previously
what area are you from (nearest big town)

is a full scan the automatic scan on the menu ? it was reflashed with " sv2theboxv8.02" is this ok or will i need to use the v.457 ? been perfect for 18mths/2yrs til now i did something in the menu when trying to alter the clock when clocks went 4ward last month. thanx 4 all help

yes a full scan is the automatic one (make sure you are scanning on your correct provider)
you still didn't say where you are from

I think they still work on that older firmware but to remove all doubt I would flash with the v4.57 firmware using loader 4.03
