Starview 5 menu help

Hello, I was wondering if you can help.
I have just bought and connected up a starview 5 receiver and it has model ID C531 S/W version 2.04.MP boot version b-21 and says date Oct 21 2009.
I have just updated with what I believe is that latest firmware and installed it ok on the box, I have managed to click menu and the 1570 and change the key log thing to on and saved. done another scan, seem to have many channels duplicated but hey lets see if I can get to work. Even though I have finally got the secret menu up and scanned I have most of the channels still not viewable, most have like a dollar symbol next to it on the OSD.
What am I doing wrong I want to enable all channels to view, the ones I do get have lots of freezes and a high pitch noise comes on occasionally.

try a factory reset 0000 to delete ,auto scan your provider from direct feed and keycode enable and exit out.

erm why did u do that without looking in here first to see if it will work on not.

i think u paid ?80 for about 1 week worth of free tv.
