starview not JTAGing?

Hi I have posted thia on other forums all without a answer. I have JTAGed numorous Starview boxes all without a problem but one.I have done some since so I know that my set-up works the problem being after starting using SKYMAX and the erasing and then putting the 257 image in (its a clone) all goes well till it finishs and I get the message unable to write to 8000000 ram fail! and then even if I go through it with or without the cap connected no difference

have you tried jkeys or reproggin 48tsop easy enough if you got equipment
