    starview f/w needed

    just bought sv5 box usb2.cant get ppv channels.can anyone help please

      I really can't beleive people are still buying these boxes!!
      If you press menu & go to system info if you have firmware v2.03 then do the following: menu 1570 > turn keycode to on > exit to ssp1 > & wait for update.
      If you have any other firmware version you will need to download 2.03 from the download section.

          hi im in the same boat, ive just bought the sv5 box, ive done a scan got all the freeview channels but ive got a $ on the channels that i cant view, ive tried the 1570 in the menu but nothing happens and in the system menu im not sure what it mean but it says s/w 2.6mp what does it mean

              As above. Why did you buy a cable box ?? The chances are you on in an area where the new encryption has kicked in and you've wasted your money.

                  a friend of mine said these boxes dont go down so i thought sounds good, im in north london, so does this mean this box will never work then?

                              Some friend eh Is his still working ? Chances are this "friend" hasn't even got one but is just selling them. Most , if not all of N London is down, never to return.
