the box usb ll ?

hi guys im not familiar with the box but im sure im right in saying its a starview ? on the front it says (the box usb 11) but the 2 is in roman numerals i have been asked to help a friend get it sorted and now im asking you fine people to help me out the problem hes got which im sure most have, all the channels are all over the place and duplicated, do i delete all channels and rescan or factory reset ? like i say im not familiar with these i have not even plugged it in yet.

Ensure it has firmware v2.03 (menu > system info) if yes then factory reset > auto scan on your service provider > once 100% exit then menu 1570 & turn keycode on then exit to ssp1 and wait for update. If you have any other firmware than v2.03 d/l and transfer the bin file onto a usb stick (switch the box off before inserting/taking out usb) then select usb on the menu screen & install then follow the above.

no your not as the sv5 or usb2 is upgraded by a usb flash drive and is only inserted/removed when box is powered off.

When you say put the channel on sksp1, how long shoul I leave it on their for. Im looking for the asian channels to come one but they are not their. My parents are going crazy!
