missing channels

Hi,
Im looking at a friends starview box (think its model 2)
some channels are missing, I think they have been lost to a channel re-arrangment - how do I go about getting them back?
Im assuming the box is no longer supported & I cant find a transponder list.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ive tried re-scanning, etc.
Area is South Wales/Swansea
I cant find ITV2, 3, etc.

Same happened to my Dreambox, but a brute force scan fixed taht.

Yep, like I said, this is my friends box. I prefer a dreambox.
Just need to find a transponder list or somthing so I can do a manual scan for the missing channels.

Hi M8 all starview boxes are going down just now, no one at present has the keys,will let you know if i find any

plenty of posts for people to read as answered before many times,try a factory reset 0000 to delete,auto scan provider,and emu to on -menu1570-key emu to on and exit.
all boxes will be off soon because of new encryption called nagra3,starts off with loss of movies and asian channels.

keys are now a thing of the past=nagra3 rules=blank screen now or later.

its not nagra 3, its all the transponders got changed about 2-3 months ago & a lot of channels are missing because of it.
Things like sky arts, sky sports2, itv3, etc.
Just random channels which I assume are on new transponders.

if you are scanning through splitters or extensions you will lose channels,always scan from direct feed.sometimes a factory reset 0000 to delete then power off box for a min then on and auto scan and emu on.

Thats what ive ended up doing.. its been a long process!
Ill show him how to scan & ask him to call me when he finds a channel is missing.. its quite easy to find the freq, just goto manual scan on my dreambox for the channel he wants & thats it.
