Starview3 query

Long time viewer, first time poster : )

Just wanted to see if anyone could give some insight on a strange issue I've got with a Starview 3 box.

However I'm guessing that the answer is gonna be Nag3 ><

I have just been given a Starview 3 box from a friend as his area has been upgraded to Nag3. I was going to test the box, see if I could use it as spare box for multi room as I already pay the max tarrif to VM for the living room.

The query is all the channels display scrambled or no signal, Nag3 yea? However on the freeview channels if I wait 30 secs to a min the channels displays without any problem.

To add to it, if scroll to the very end of the EPG I have numerous channels listed as 3000 - TV4, 3000 -TV6, 3000 - TV14....etc, etc...

On these channels content is being played but not content from regular channels....for example last night Zombieland was on but not any of the movie channels. During watching the movie it fastforwarded a few mins and stopped to be played at normal speed....

Very confusing to me, but that might be due to my newbie skills on the subject.

someone in your area has a vplus box and you are picking up there feed thats why it stops and starts because they have recorded it

Are recordings not stored locally on a V+ box? I gather the rest of the issue, no prem channels is down to nag3? Living in the Gateshead area
