scrambled channels

Hi all, unwrapped a starview HD combo + a couple of hours ago and finally managed to get some channels. The trouble is they are all scrambled even the F2A channels. Is there something I have missed - a box to be unticked - or am I being too optimistic. Thanks for a really useful forum, it would have been in the bin by now without it

have you loaded software? also where are you? need to know your area as new nag 3 encryption being rolled out, which means you will only get 1 to 5 on fta

Hi I have loaded the software from the links - whether I've done it correctly or not is a guess but they were showing on the usb tab. Operating from Merseyside if that makes a difference. Ta
