whats the best firmware to flash my starview 3 please(new to this site)

you do need to read, if you want to know how to use your box its up to you. Firstly yuou will find the links to the firmware at the top of this Starview section, check out the permanent threads in red called 'stickies', these contain all you need to flash the box..

However before you embark on your learning curve you should also read the forum for N3 or Nagra3 threads and information as then you will find out that cable scene is in its death throws. I hope you kept the receipt for that old box because its best if you return it.
