N3 hasn't been cracked. When the frequencies (stage 1) were re-jigged they moved all the channels around, in prep for NGTV and N3 being broadcast - pressumably nationalising the network, bringing all the cable companies into 1 structure. N1 still live and healthy. A month or so later legit boxes will start getting new cards (stage 2). A month or so after that (stage 3) they turn off the N1 stream leaving the new card decrypting N3. THEN you lose your channels.

What probably happened here is they've re-picked up the missing channel/new channel freqs from stage 1 channel shuffle. You'll know when N3 arrives - you'll only get 1 > 5
