If nag 3 is the case for coventry, your options are Starview 6 (tried and tested by me, works great a few channels missing but they will come on over time & probably the cheapest box on the market), Starview Combo (HD version, currently got known glitching problems in some areas and is at least ?50 more than SV6, also a few channels missing). The combo is a great box as its capable of handling satellite and cable all in one box.I'm sure a software fix should resolve that so keep an eye on it

The kryptview u have 2 options either buy a A750 model with a I connector device (slightly bigger than a box of 20 fags) or u can buy the newer latest model which is DM500 which is a HD version, The kryptview is by far the best box but it also comes at a price. All channels working.

Both brands named above will only work via cs, so u must have a internet connection to the box for it to work, Both starviews have a ethernet ports so getting connected the net is straight forward, the A750 does not have a ethernet port which is why you must have the I-connector device which retails for approx ?100. Hope this helps.

The kryptviews are worth the extra money from my exp cos whenever stuff goes down, the kryptview bandwagon has the quickest fix avail and starview are always playing catch up. But if your on tight budget then starviews it is. Both brands are very well supported.

And I've just been told by a friend kryptview have got something called A780 which has ethernet port built in works fine or so i've been told. You'll have to do a bit of research for price of this

this is a mine field been reading here nagra3 hasnt been cracked ,and to quote a veteran member(Hello
I would'nt waste your money mate in buying a starview 5 or any non vermin cable box as nagra 3 will render them useless.
You will find lots of retailers tiring to off load there cable boxes knowing whats around the comer with nagra 3,lots of area's in the UK have already changed over to nagra 3,its just a matter of time b4 they all do. )

what is the accurate truth ,im sure some work because there not using nag 3 at present ,I am very greatfull for any advice given

to be perfectly honest with you and probably loads more.. unless you know what you are doing with card sharing, internet connections etc, i would leave well alone. i've had sv's for a few years, set boxes up for mates but will not touch anything else when nag3 kicks in 100%.. been lucky here but dont think it will last much longer... but who knows.. will just have to pay back a little bit of what i have got out!!

The past boxes live starview 1,2,3 etc ddigital and the millions others before will not work on N3, however the ones I've quoted above will work will internet connection, and have been working since some parts of england have switched to N3 since january this year, ireland switched over before england and they are doing fine with cable CS with the boxes quoted above by myself, feel free to PM if still unsure

You seem well informed and I could do with some help too. I live in Birmingham and my starview HD Combo (non-lan) lost it's channels about two weeks ago.
What are my options ? I have tried the new Grooverider FW and Carling too but not working (or I'm doing something wrong) Is there a solution for this box or as you say should I ditch it (?200+ though) and go for the Starview 6? Appeciate your time and advice.
