starvie hd combo error 206

Hi guyz,

I am having serious problems with my starview hd combo.
Dont get me wrong its a nice box with 2 usb slot and hd 1080i but i am having serious issues connecting it to the net. I keep getting connection error- 206 when trying to connect and its really driving me mad first i thought the servers were down but it doesnt look like it, after doing some research i have found that people with this problem are having it cause of the mac address not being valid so i looked inside my box to compare macs on screen and their the same.... would anyone be kind enough in helping me to fix this problem or pm me a hd combo mac which i can try thanks much appreciated

WHEN YOU GO TO INTERNET OPTIONS CLICK ON IP ADDRESS AUTO THEN PREES APPLY BOX WILL REBOOT WHEN IT GETS IP ADDRESS FROM SEVER, THEN GO TO MANUAL IP ADDRESS DO THE SAME YOUR BOX WILL TELL YOU TO APPLY DO THIS AND YOU SHOULD BE OK, YOU NEED A STATIC IP ADDRESS, TO DO THIS, GOOD LUCK,

Tried what you said. Made no difference. Got a feeling my box has come with an unregistered MAC address.
