starview 5 secret menu question

i need to update firmware to use secret menu .i now want to know if i can revert back to the original firware of 2.06mp

would assume because its original firmware, ie, fta stuff, it would not be on this or any other site..but why do you want it?

ive been sent a customer returned box ,as apposed to a new box ,the site I bought from will not except it back if altered ,I wanted to test it ,it was to be a gift

maybe just got box and updated it and on n3 ,i hate that.

i wonder if factory reset would go back to original ,but i doubt it very much

no factory reset erases channel data only

tomuk30 come on mate im new at this stuff to but you asking stupid questions when you got all the answers that you need to fix your box and enable your 1570 menu, read peoples posts take in the information i fixed both of my boxes without even posting i just read what other people did(had to post something to download the file tho)

I want only to test as ive been sent the wrong box ,and then revert to original ,if i leave updated firmware on it cannot be returned

used apperently faulty box sent to me

sorry, mate, only ever used sv3 or 4's.. but it should be somewhere on here...

tomuk30 forget the original firmware go to downloads at the top click on stariviews and u cant miss it itl say SV5 2.03 (its the 1 u might need)download that file put it onto a usb stick turn off ur box plug it in go to usb menu on the box click it and click the new file itl update itself do a factory reset(code-0000 mine was) and if that doesnt make ur 1570 menu appear im sorry mate but i think your box is finished(you are pressing the 1570 on the menu right and doing it as fast as u can not like slowly yeah just checking)........ youve been told all this before are your reading what people are posting back to you cause they already gave u the answers if you still dont get it i dont think you can be helped mate but believe me iv tried my best.

he wants to check box out and send back with fta firmware,but he cannot find fta firmware,some suppliers will not take box back thats updated.
