Hi I tried to install bin file V1.12 bin a message comes up it is not a file of this IRD can someone please direct me on how to solve this prob.

That firmware is only for the Starview 4 are you sure you have this model and not a Starview 5 which requires another firmware?

I have tried this firmware it lets me install the bin file and after following the instructions on how to install and setupnthe box it is unable to find channels.

You are in Northern Ireland, for your area you need to factory reset, rescan but use Chorus as your provider when scanning this time.

Turn back on emu and let it update on a scrambled channel.

sv4 has keycode enable which you have to set, as emu were previous models
password =menu1570 then keycode enable and exit out.

Keycode is the emulator I call it an emu. The solution has been posted a few times now for Northern Ireland.

I guys I have SV4 which I have updated with ver1.12. I still can only get a fraction of channels compared with previously. what are the correct steps b4 scanning again and how to set up afterwards ? can anyone help ?

do you have coaxial in cable input??,try scanning other providers are you in n.irl try chorus.

factory reset 0000 to delete,auto scan your provider and the keycode to on.
