starview HD combo + satellite channels

Can anyone help i'm a bit of a novice on the satellite side of things, i've got the cable side of things working fine on my combo but when i search for satellite channels nothing is found? All connections are ok as I used to use freesat with the same dish.
Do i need to change the settings in the satellite search menu?

I really have no idea what the settings mean so you'll have to excuse my ignorance.

what satellite you scanning the box for?

My dish is just a standard sky dish so i was searching on the astra satellite 1st then tried a few others, I really don't know which is the best or what settings need changing if any.
really would appreciate your help.
