The latest firmware is 1.12 for starview 4
Have you tried a rescan or a factory reset then rescan?
What area do you live in as it may have been hit by nagra 3

i live newcastle north east m8. tried re scanning but most chanels gone and i dont know what to do next

Try a factory reset,then a rescan and make sure the key code in the secret menu is turned on.
Have a look in the general cable tv section then in the red stickys on the top of the page for areas receiving new card to see if you area has been affected
