hi guys am new to starview had eurovox ex5000 and now transferring to starview hd combo lan. ive just ordered it and want to know what size usb do i need will 512mb be enought for loading the files onto. And i also want to know what files do i have to put there as i have seen alot of diffrent files for the starview hd combo lan but not sure which is the right one. and how do i get the cs to work on lan side. is the system easy and is there a guide out there. and hope someone helps me out thanks

first post test -
go to the downloads section and find the groverider and the carling combo software apply to the box. the usb you have is more then enough
Connect the box to your internet(Modem or Router) via an ethernet port if you are using a bridge you will need to set this up from your computer first. Once you have all your connections sorted turn the box on and follow the details below:
Go to
Accessory
Networks
Press ok
Ip set up
Press ok, once into the ip set up menu go to the network setting and scroll to the right until you are at manual then back to auto if your internet connection or router is configured correctly then all the details will come up automatically if doesnt then exit then go back in and scroll right and left
Now go on to installation
Cable Auto Search
Press ok
Now choose your area, If you are in NTL is is 6887 and TW is 6952 or press auto on the symbol rate and press search.
This should find all the channels
Now once scanned go to menu
Type in 8989 you wont see the number but when you go into accessory you will see an aditional option key edit if dont show up go to menu and type in 8989 again.
Accessory
Network
CS Net
Change the type to Ustream and make sure the connection status is on
Go on to any channels and the channels should come upComment

carling file has bug issue that gives a mac error problem and the fix that was released today was bricking boxes,use the guinness file as it will work in uk and irl.Comment

hd combo+
hi put the new carling firmware on my box today and registered it i put only the net through my box and when i do a cable scan it does not find any channels,my mac address is ok.when i exit to the tv screen all i get is a message no channels,the box says menu at the front with no lights.should there be any lights at all.only red light when i switch it off.any help would be greatfull.Comment

i got one of the hd combo boxes off a friend, it has a lan conection. i cant seem to flash the box with groove rider or any other image. on my box under system info is name guinness+ soft ware ver f5 11 ldr hard ware ver 00.21.iv also gone through all the settings using this image i can get 279 chans but only 6 work. iv tryed to conect this to my cable and then to internet and change settings to up stream and it says conecting and never dose. ip is set on auto also.Comment

not all hd channels work
ive just updated my starview hd combi and im not getting all my hd channels, i get the message SCRAMBLED CHANNEL.
Any ideas? ive got all other channels sky soprts 1-4/ all movies but none of them in hd..
some hd channels working like bbc hd and itv hd and living hd ETC ETC.Comment

My SVHD+LAN box is also blocked with old Carling file, now I can't udate with new file as gets stuck at 20 %.
