Will starview 6 work in a area not hit by nagra 3

Hello peeps

I have a starview 6 which was working on cs but all the servers are down at the moment as a server in Ireland got raided

I made a mistake paying ?180 including subs for the year but it does not seem it will be bak up and running anymore. I got 6 weeks from the box and not all the channles were working.

Can someone kindly tell me if this box will work in a area not hit by nagra 3 or will it only work with cs?

I presume it should work like a eurovox or dbox2 without the need to connect it to a router. It has the carling v1.00 file on it at the moment.

yes it should work fine, but that wont last long once n3 hits that area

It should work in an n1 area yes.

It will work in non N3 but i doubt anyone's going to buy it because sooner rather than later everywhere will be N3. Assuming that's what you were thinking of doing

This is what i have been told by the person i bought the box from. He says all the servers have been switched off from his end as he is waiting for everything to blow over.

I guess its only one house in Ireland that got raided.

The box was running ok up till friday evening

Maybe m8, like everything else, it's a gamble that may or may not pay off. There are no guarantees anymore.

I knew i should hav gone the sat cs way, i could hav got a tm500 all set up for ?260 with every channel working without any problems, my mate says its running a treat

How much will i get for my starview 6 if i put it up for sale on ebay or gumtree?

think they would be daft to start again, then again the way they set it up was beyond belief, so who knows, but i doubt it. not sure if you can do this, seeing its closed source, but it may be possible to set your own cs up, but keep it between friends you can trust.

have not looked today, but people were seling on ebay for about ?100 yesterday. whats the ?260 give you, just sly, seems a bit steep.

So has my supplier shit himself by switching off the server in Birmingham?

He has yet to agree to this saying it will come on eventually and the server raid in Ireland is bullcrap!

He has even taken off the starview 6 and hd combo boxes from his website 2day, that is saying sumfin, i fink he jus trying to cover his ass

?260 sly gives all the astra 28.2e channels which is gd enough for me

I only need sky sports news , 1,2,3,4, espn and mutv
