Help with Starview 6 LAN - Faulty box?

I live in Hertfordshire and recently purchased a Starview 6 LAN. I have tried to set it up with new firmware but it keeps saying 'unknown upgrade file'. I also do not see net application under Network. Does it only appear after installing new firmware?

I have also noticed when I turn the box off and on again it says no signal and I need to reset it back to default first.

The box also came with an american or european plug with no adaptor. The manual mentions a home streaming program too but there was no software.

Is this a dodgy box? I got it from satellite wizard

satr wizard are very respected mate so i would say no, i dont have a sv6 but have had every other issue oif them and they all have had euro plugs, i take it u have downloaded the firmware onto a usb stick and tried loading it that way? i dont know a lot about sv6 but basically im guessing u need to flash it via usb to set up before a network installation

I have a starview super usb too and that is a UK plug so thats why I was dubious. I did put it onto a USB stick,the one I used for the super usb box.Perhaps I will try another usb stick to make sure it isnt the usb stick
