Starview HD Combo + (Lan) scrambled channels

Also, my friend has a box in the same area which works fine when updated with Carling, and he would like to know if there is any reason why he can get BBC HD and MTV HD, but not any of the Sky Sports or Sky Movies HD, and weirdly ITV1 HD and E4 HD (both freeview channels) any ideas?

those channels are somehow not on the starview server, and nobody knows when or if they will ever be added.

Hi, in our town (barry,s.wales) most ppl av got eurovox boxes, and ova the last wkend all channels av gone dwn, just leavin 1-5 chann! Ive flashed my box and several others,but still no joy. Some boxes(ntl)with cards av been "tested" and they are waiting on a trial period b4 these are ok to go. Looks like free tv is on hold for a bit,.....unless u no different???

got to agree, i have starview hd combo+ and it's nothing but bother. thinking of going the sat way!

If your thinking of going the sat way sell this box NOW and get a dreambox 800HD. This box has lots of problems on satellite such as EPG problems, however on the dreambox you can actually download sky's epg data from their epg channels so you can get epg for the whole week. There are so many plug ins for dreambox like media center plug in.

managed to fix the box which worked for a while (after everyones helpful suggestions)

After about a month (late october) it stopped working again. Just wondering if this would be because of the change in encryption used by the cable providers, and if there is any new software I can update the box with to get back functionality.
