What area do you live in as its probably been hit by nagra 3-vermins new encryption.If your area has switched to nagra 3 there's no point updating your box as it won't make any difference.

Some parts of Ireland have switched over/receiving new cards,check the red sticky in the general cable forum for areas receiving new cards.
As for updating your box you will need a Serial Null Cable RS232,there are no new codes available.You can buy the cables cheap off flebay but it won't be long before your area changes over to nagra 3.

maybe do a factory reset,auto scan from direct feed maybe { chorus }and emu to on,more than likely firmware is ok.
