hi thinking of getting a starview 6 but herd that the server keeps going down i can get one for ?140 but been told it only last a year but what happens after that is your box a door stop or what, and also been told they can trace you from your ip adress is it worth it or what

Firstly you don't need to pay that price.google wizard sat.
secondly no they wont get your IP but even if they did,when they knock on your door don't open it!.without a warrant not even cops can force their way in your house.
The site is run by starview its in their personal interest to keep the site running.no site,no working boxes,no sales.

i suppose u need to connect to the starview server to unlock channles, thers no otha way, and i have heard if the starview shut ther server down, then the sv6 LAN is no guddd

i am still looking for a reciever my self yet, linux reciever is better in SAT version for CS look on google

sv6 wid LAN can dis also be scanned wid satalite dish or just cable?

its stupid question but i saw a user manual got from mate its got diagaram of satalite going to decorder

Hi,there are two current star views that work.
If you have just Virgin media then get the Starview 6 with Lan.
but if you have Virgin media and sky connection then get the Starview 6 combo.(it connects both sky and virgin)so you can flick between both Sky and virgin as I understand it.
its demo is also on youtube.

go to ebay and check out starview hd combo + with lan cable and sky box in one.or youtube it!.

if your going down the c/s route go for the kv A780 better supported than the sv6 m8
