How to Manually update keys on Starview

[/FONT]     [FONT=Arial]To put keys in manualy do as follows. 
[/FONT] [FONT=Arial]Press menu button


[/FONT]     [FONT=Arial]Press 1570 this takes you into secret menu.
[/FONT] [FONT=Arial]Now hit ok on nagravision 

[/FONT]   [FONT=Arial]Next make sure your cable provider is listed at top NTL or TELEWEST C&W ect

[/FONT]   [FONT=Arial]Now change key 00 
[/FONT] [FONT=Arial][COLOR=#ff0000](YOU MUST SAVE EACH KEY INDIVIDUALLY - I.E. AFTER CHANGING KEY 00 MAKE SURE [/COLOR]
[/FONT] [FONT=Arial][COLOR=#ff0000]YOU STORE BEFORE CHANGING KEY 01 (TO STORE PRESS OK)[/COLOR]


[/FONT]     [FONT=Arial]Right now change key 01 (To change between the 2 keys highlight key number press right and left )

thanks Devilfish, I have done this on my starview 3, what does this process of manually putting in the keys actually do? still canna get me channels back?

Just now, the keys aren't auto updating so the latest keys need to be manually entered for you to get the channels back. If you're channels are still not working, the keys are not correct. If you got them from the keymaster application, you'll need to wait until it's updated.

Have you made sure you entered both lines correctly?

yes mate i think so, did 00 then 01 saved em each time, then exit exit again! data being updated 10% 20% etc then channel name comes up but no piccy, i take it is down to the big vm scramble?

Make sure you are using the correct provider. As Devilfish said the keys may need to be updated.

mine doesnt say a service provider at top it just says next to provider id:54 01

54 01 is for ex-ntl areas.
5A 01 is for ex-tw areas.
5C 01 is for ex-cw areas.
5E 01 is for chorus areas.

Hi,I have starview 1 and since today morning I am not geting any channels. I did try the codes e.g. ex tw or ex c&w but doesn't work at all... Do you think I should wait for new firmware as I am already on V4.00. Any advice welcome.
