Hi Steve
Glad to see you got it working and you seem to be saying you did everything the same.
I tried it on different laptops and didnt work.
I might put the WGR614 Network administrator software on my lappie and give it a try in next day or two as in general Im having a problem with me combo anyway.Comment

Hi again, installed Vermins new media hub, got Combo working thru sat side via wifi adapter + lappies working, still same prob wifes Toshiba homestreams to Combo no prob but my compaq CQ60 doesn't. Combo sees my machine, doesn't report network error when software running on my laptop, but won't show media files. Really doing my head in, any ideas please, could it be a HP prob as my machine has HP network assistant but does not recognize my router, still able to go on internet though.
Please help if poss. Cheers Steve,Comment

have you made sure you do the same for your laptop when you run the program... because its guaranteed that the ip will change... therefore change it on the box.If You Like My Post

could be... best way to find out is trying a fully wired connection. Laptop to router... box to router...If You Like My Post

Blizzard is 100% correct here in your network settings you must give your box a static ip or it will only work for you until you reboot the box. Usually after a reboot the box ip will change unless made static.you know when your wife's laptop connects via the program you get given an ip which you enter on the network settings tab on the box CORRECT...

Hi, Yes I change the IP address to the one given by my laptop when running software, when I press fn button on Starview it does not come up with Network error, shows correct menu page but file field is blank, also noticed on laptop it does not show Starview IP address on screen as it does with wife's laptop. I'm at a loss as to the next step to take, any suggestions? Cheers SteveComment
