Starview 7 box is driving me mental

i got one of these and loaded the firmware done everything that is needed to be done and when i turn it on and go to a sport channel etc.I get to watch the programme for about a minute if that then i loose the picture and screeen goes black with a small white box that says i scramble Anyone got any suggestions? I have tried everything at least 3 times is this normal with a new box waiting for the server to recognise it or what? I know my internet is ok as I have a cs thing going on for myself but just trying to get this starview 7 sorted for a friend. It's been like this for 2 days now. Many thanks for looking.

    starview

first of all i would try a different ethernet cable from your router to the starview and make sure the addapter for the ethernet is screwed in to the back of the box tight and you here a click when putting the cable in then do a factory reset to make sure. If that does not work i would do a reflash of the software. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply but I have tried all that and then some so I am now thinking it could be a duff box but I can get all the freeview channels, cheers.

You also need to check your signal level, SV7 needs a Q of at least 70%, lower than that will cause glitching/freezing or no signal at all.

if you only have broadband it will be capped resulting in lower signal level.
